Wine Centered Women was founded by Ann-Marie Adams in 2009 as a pre-event activity
connected to Hilton Head Island’s annual Spring event known as the Hilton Head Island
Wine & Food Festival. It began as an outreach effort across the electronic highway
through Facebook to generate buzz and create connections between women interested
in wine. Local food and wine related representatives contribute to the content of
the discussion throughout the course of the year, making suggestions on wine and
wine related products while at the same time inviting women from across the country
to join them on the island for the HHI Wine and Food Festival. Those who answer
the call will find an opportunity at the festival’s Public Tasting and Auction each
year to meet in person to socialize, participate in educational forums on wine and
to continue their discussion live and in person!
