A native of the Chicago area, Sue graduated from College at Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. where she got her start writing the wine list for a jazz club. In 1987, she arrived in Charleston to open a shop in Mt. Pleasant called Epicurean Wine and Cheese.

From there , she continued onward with her passion and thirst for all things wine; working in several markets on the East Coast and finally ending back to Charleston in 2000. She has been noted in publications such as Skirt!, Low country Edible, Oregon Wine Country, and Charleston Mag; as well as participating in Charleston’s food and Wine Fest among other events.

She is employed at Newton Farms as a passionate wine retailer and has, arguably, the best wine selection in the state of S.C!
